Travel Tuesday Part 1

Best Time to Purchase Flights

On my way to Denver back in January

In the first part of my five part of traveling tips I'm going to share when the best time is to purchase flights. Believe it or not there is a certain day and even time when flight are the most affordable. For many years I've always used Southwest Airlines as my go to for flights because they always have appeared to be the most affordable (I hate the word cheap), however that was until I discovered Kayak.

Kayak is a site that searches all airlines and flights that are available for the dates that you are looking to travel. Best part is, they categorize it from the lowest to highest prices! #WINNING You also get to pick your departing times, which I find very convenient. You can also get notifications emailed to you daily if the price of the flight increases or decreases. I have used this site in the past and have found some of the best deals imaginable. Another perk is that you can search for hotels through the site as well.

Searching for my flight & hotel for Miami in July

So when is the best time to purchase your airfare? Resources say that Tuesdays at 3:00 pm, six weeks before your flight is when tickets are the absolute cheapest...eek I said cheap! BEWARE, the weekend is the absolute worst time to purchase airfare. Rates can be anywhere from $75- $150 MORE! With that being said, its also important to do your research.

With Kayak I've gotten pretty lucky with $100 round trip flights to Denver, and a round trip flight to Miami for $285. However, I think the fact that I'm located in Las Vegas has an advantage on the rates I pay for flights. Anyways, if you haven't heard of you use Kayak, I highly recommend giving it a try.

If anyone has any other recommendations of sites or apps to use for more affordable airfare I'd love to hear about it. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

Affordable Lingerie for Valentine's Day

If you're like me, you don't need a reason to shop for something fabulous such as lingerie. However, when the occasion presents it's self, I do love to buy lingerie. Not to mention the boyfriend ALWAYS loves it. Unfortunately, lingerie seems to cost a fortune, depending on where you buy it from. With a little time and research, I was able to track down some very sexy, high-quality, affordable lingerie for just about ANY SIZE. Sam Edelman Velvet Romper Technically not "lingerie" but it looked super cute on the model online. I thought it'd be perfect to wear around, being comfortable but still cute. I found this on sale at Nordstrom, usually $48, I got it for $28 plus tax! Victoria's Secret This is one of my favorite finds. There's something sexy about a high waist panty. I'm absolutely in love with the blush and gold. This set is perfect for date night or to wear when you want to feel a little extra sexy. To my surprise, these pie...

More Issues Than VOGUE

Some days I think I have it all together and then the next I find myself lounging in my pjs all day! Adulting is hard! Ya feel me!? But then I just have to remind myself that I can eat cake for breakfast while shopping online for unnecessary items and no one can say crap to me about it...so I guess "adulting" isn't THAT bad.   One of my newest favorite online purchase is this t-shirt from Style Lately , cause lets be honest it's pretty awesome AND true. Style Lately is a company that empowers women to BE CHIC. BE CONFIDENT, BE THE CHANGE. And they also work with a non-profit where 1 tee=11 meals to families in need. So not only did I feed my shopping addiction but I also helped those in need. If you'd like to part of the movement purchase your t-shirt HERE!!!   Studded Flats by VICIDOLLS Bracelets by Modern Siren Photography: Casey Jade Photo  | Hair: Emilie Rasmussen          <a href=" https://w...
