What Happens When You Turn 30...

You have to start taking some serious care of your skin! You have to start worrying about dark circles, laugh and frown lines, wrinkles, and dryness. Why hasn't anyone written a book about how to prepare yourself for this!? Or maybe they have and I've been too busy drinking wine and writing blog posts hahaha! After turning 30 last year I've started to worry more about anti-aging; a lot factors play into this as well. For one, I live in the desert and work outside in the sun for about 9-10 months out of the year. Also as a young woman I have struggles with bad acne and have put so many products on my skin that have dried it out, caused discoloration and dry patches. I've recently come across some great products that I've started to work into  my nightly skincare regiment. Keep reading to find out what they are.   I'm such a freak about cleaning my face after a long day before I go to bed. This active charcoal cleanser from The Birthday Suit has become

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers Event at Culinary Dropout

I recently had the pleasure of attending a blogger event this week at Culinary Dropout hosted by the Vegas Lifestyle Influencers. Culinary Dropout is located inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino here in Las Vegas. I've lived here for over 4 years and this have become one of my favorite restaurants. My go to menu items are the steamed mussels with sausage and ahi tuna salad. They have amazing craft cocktails such as Pistols at Dawn, which happens to be my favorite; bourbon with bitters, ginger beer, and cabernet. During the event, we were presented with some amazing dishes like a salmon charcuterie plate, kale and avocado salad, soft and warm pretzel bites with beer cheese, shrimp and chicken skewers, bbq ribs where the meat practically falls off the bone, and apple cinnamon monkey break with vanilla ice cream for dessert. If I didn't love Culinary Dropout before, they have my heart now! This is a "must" stop on your travels to Las Vegas. They also have locat

YSL Beauty Event at Saks Fifth Ave.

YSL beauty display at Saks Fifth Ave. Las Vegas     I recently attended a beauty event at Saks Fifth Ave for YSL. I've never used YSL products before, I'm only familiar with their fashion. However, YSL is know for their incredible lipsticks; lipstick wardrobe as they call it. During the event we had the change to see some new products for the season. They had just launched lipstick amplifiers, which changes the color of your lipsticks, either making them brighter, or darker. And how cute is the packaging!?      Saks knows how to throw an event. Not only was the YSL beauty display gorgeous, there was a DJ playing fun tunes, lots of samples, and gifts with purchase. The event ran from June 1-4, to preview the new beauty products. There were two gifts with purchase; a super cute clear tote bag with lips that came in three different color (free with purchase of $125 or more) and a kadima set with a purchase of $175 or more. Gift with purchase YS

Llamas and Churros

Llamas and Churros? Huh? Yes, you read that right. I recently had the pleasure of being invited to a super fun event at The Bunkhouse Saloon, called Llamas and Churros. And yes there were most definitely churros there. I think I ate enough to feed a small village. What!? I like 'em!   Along with delish churros, there was live entertainment from local artist, pop-up shops, intense games of corn-hole (which I am quite awesome at), henna tattoos, and tarot card readings. I had my cards read for the first time which was freaking amazing, but that's a story for another time.   Tarot card reading   Outside at The Bunkhouse Saloon Pop-up shops and activities This event was meant to bring people from the community and of like minds together. I had the pleasure of meeting the creator of this event, Jelan Kendrick, a McDonald All-American for Joseph Wheeler High School in Atlanta, GA who also played for the UNLV Runnin Rebels. Jelan is currently invo
