What Happens When You Turn 30...

You have to start taking some serious care of your skin! You have to start worrying about dark circles, laugh and frown lines, wrinkles, and dryness. Why hasn't anyone written a book about how to prepare yourself for this!? Or maybe they have and I've been too busy drinking wine and writing blog posts hahaha!

After turning 30 last year I've started to worry more about anti-aging; a lot factors play into this as well. For one, I live in the desert and work outside in the sun for about 9-10 months out of the year. Also as a young woman I have struggles with bad acne and have put so many products on my skin that have dried it out, caused discoloration and dry patches.

I've recently come across some great products that I've started to work into  my nightly skincare regiment. Keep reading to find out what they are.

I'm such a freak about cleaning my face after a long day before I go to bed. This active charcoal cleanser from The Birthday Suit has become on of my favorites because not only can you use it as a cleanser but also as a mask! It's all natural with amazing ingredients such as aloe, witch hazel, pumpkin extract, rose extract and of course active charcoal just to name a few. This cleanser/mask also contains natural clays for oil absorbing and detoxifying properties. It's very concentrated so a little tab will do ya!

I'm a very skeptic person, so when it comes to things that state they will help with "bags under the eyes," I don't get my hopes up.  They contain green tea extract, collagen, amino-acids, and natural plant essences to help firm and tone the under eye area while helping reduce puffiness and dark circles. I LOVE these green tee under eye pads!!!! The pads felt cool and refreshing against my skin, and smelled amazing! You can find these and more products from The Birthday Suit HERE. And the results...well you'll have to keep reading to see the before and after.

Living in heart of the desert has really done a number on my skin and I didn't really worry about moisturizers until recently. I've struggles with acne most of life so for some reason I thought moisturizer = oil which clogs pores and causes more acne. However, through trial and errors I've discovered the moisturizer is your FRIEND. I was recently introduced to Air Repair by a fellow blogger and friend. This moisturizer is designed to help with dull, tired, and dehydrated skin. Containing anti-oxidants, humectants, and moisture-retaining properties, it soothes and hydrates the skin for a more radiant complexion while also diminishing fine lines. Not to mention that it smells like fresh rose petals and leaves your skin feeling ultra soft and smooth. This moisturizer can also be used as an intensive mask treatment! I love when you can use products in multiple ways. You can find this moisturizer and other great  products HERE.

One part of the face that I think majority of people tend to forget are the LIPS. Moisturizing and exfoliating your lips is just as important as doing it to your face. Treat Beauty gave me a sample of there USDA certified, organic, coconut oil lip balm and it is AMAZING! And anything that comes in the flavor of Confetti Cake has my vote! This lip balm is super moisturizing and light weight and doesn't leave a waxy film like a lot of others do. I put this one morning, noon, and night, and a few more times in between. You can find more of their products HERE. I hear they have awesome lip scrubs too!

So the moment you've all been waiting for....the before and afters!!! The first photo is right after I finished everything. The second photo is from the next morning. (Excuse the messy hair and imperfect skin).

Just moisturized
The morning after
So it's very clear to see the difference and the results after a good nights sleep. The next morning my skin felt soft, and fresh and the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes had diminished. Also, my skin looks more even.

Does anyone else use these products? I'd love to hear your feedback or even see your pics. Comment below!

Affordable Lingerie for Valentine's Day

If you're like me, you don't need a reason to shop for something fabulous such as lingerie. However, when the occasion presents it's self, I do love to buy lingerie. Not to mention the boyfriend ALWAYS loves it. Unfortunately, lingerie seems to cost a fortune, depending on where you buy it from. With a little time and research, I was able to track down some very sexy, high-quality, affordable lingerie for just about ANY SIZE. Sam Edelman Velvet Romper Technically not "lingerie" but it looked super cute on the model online. I thought it'd be perfect to wear around, being comfortable but still cute. I found this on sale at Nordstrom, usually $48, I got it for $28 plus tax! Victoria's Secret This is one of my favorite finds. There's something sexy about a high waist panty. I'm absolutely in love with the blush and gold. This set is perfect for date night or to wear when you want to feel a little extra sexy. To my surprise, these pie
